Joel shares his vision for the CrossBridge merge into the Cobb Vineyard. He also walks through a brief history leading to the merge and presents healthy ways for the CrossBridge family to process and negotiate the transition.
The story, from Luke 15, that most people know of as the Prodigal Son is really a story about two Sons and a Father. Both sons were alienated from the father and represent the two ineffective ways people try to make live work and connect with God.
Prodigal means recklessly extravagant , giving profusely and lavishly abundant. It describes not only the way the younger son wasted all the father gave him and the way the older brother refused to be generous, but is also describes the love that God lavishes on us.
This message reveals a prodigal heart, in the negative sense, that can keep us from God and true fulfillment, but also the prodigal heart of God that gives so extravagantly that it draws us to Him.
Joel covers the issue of women in church leadership from a Biblical, historical and kingdom perspective.
